The Information Ethics & Equity Institute is the only institutionally accredited (pending) organization in the nation with a focus on the continuing education and training of data and information workers. We provide customized learning events to organizations seeking a culture that promotes ethics and equity among its knowledge workers and executive management, as part of an holistic approach to economic growth and workforce development. You won’t find a more comprehensive and vetted curriculum in the country that uses the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training to maximize organizational growth and practitioner development.

IEEI is passionate about its institutional accreditation status with the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) because it represents unmitigated dedication to quality in continuing education and training for knowledge workers. We understand the specific skill sets needed for immediate application in a work environment to sustain successful data and information practices, both within an organization, and in its external interactions. For this reason, IEEI’s long-term approach to continuing education and training extends far beyond the conclusion of a learning event.

IEEI is the premier standard-setting organization for continuing education and training for data and information workers, and is a prospective accredited provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

What is IACET?

The IACET developed the original CEU and today ensures that providers of continuing education and training can prove they provide high-quality instruction by following the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training through a rigorous accreditation process.

Accreditation by IACET signifies that IEEI’s procedures meet the essential requirements for quality continuing education and training. IEEI’s framework for curriculum development ensures that organizations provide continuing education and training programs meet high standards for ethical and equitable data and information work.

IEEI Council on Standards Development

The IEEI Council on Standards Development is responsible for the development, maintenance, and dissemination of evidence-based standards that promote and enhance quality continuing education and training (CE/T) of ethical and equitable practices that foster social justice and diversity among data and information workers.  To obtain a copy of the Council’s Procedures for American National Standards, please send an email to info[at]ethicsequity.org.

Setting and Maintaining a Globally Recognized Standard

IEEI publishes the IEEI Standard and accredits users of its Standard. Accreditation verifies that Accredited Providers (APs) are capable of developing continuing education and training programs that meet the IEEI Standard.

IEEI APs can be identified by the Accredited Provider logo, which IEEI makes available for APs to place on their collateral material. This logo indicates that an AP’s program was developed according to the globally recognized and approved Standard.
